; Additional NotesBrown cap with dark brown pointed scales towards centre. Creamy white, free, crowded gills. Stem pale brown above ring zone and dark brown and very scaly below, with a slightly bulbous base. Cap diameter 58mm, stem 75 x 10 mm. Smell slight when just picked. Becoming a little stronger after being kept in a pot for several hours, fruity with a hint of cat pee (but pleasanter than that sounds!). Spores white, amyloid, 2.8 – 3.5 x 4.5 – 6 um. Cheilocystidia 20-30 x 4-7um, narrowly clavate, in fascicles. Pileipellis made up of chains of cells with thick, brown walls.
