The isotype K-M000052595 was submitted for sequencing in PFTOL but failed (pers. comm. Mariko Parslow). Cups (typically 3cm in diameter) solitary and also growing together in groups. Starting ochre, becoming darker brown with age. Slightly lighter margins and outer surface. Spores 13.5 – 14.5 x 7 – 7.5um, smooth or very weakly punctate. Asci with 8 spores, tips blue in Meltzer’s reagent. Paraphyses septate with finely granular contents and enlarged at apex. Short septate hyphae appear to extend from edges of cup (as illustrated on the MycoDB website www.mycodb.fr).
